Marshall in top 15 for alpine teams

JACKSON, N.H. — First-year Craig Marshall (CVA, Sugar Bowl/Carrabassett Valley, Maine) had his best finish of the young season for the Colby College men’s alpine team and Natalie Biedermann kept up her strong skiing for the women at the University of New Hampshire meet Saturday, Jan. 29.
Marshall had a 47.42 in his first slalom run and followed with a 50.91 for a two-run total time of 1:38.33 to take 15th place for the men’s alpine team. Marc Massie took 18th place, including a 50.52 second run, in 1:38.64.
Marshall had started the season off a week earlier by taking 22nd place in the slalom at the Bates meet at Sunday River.
Biedermann finished her two runs in 1:45.27 to take 11th place in the women’s slalom. Cassady Roberts took 19th place in 1:46.96 and Brittney Ziebell was 24th in 1:48.45 to put three Mules in the top 25.
Both Colby teams placed sixth overall. The Mules are back in action this Friday and Saturday at the University of Vermont meet at Stowe.
