Radar run speeds clocked at over 100 mph

RANGELEY — While there was lots of fun and camaraderie at Rangeley Snodeo, when it came to the radar run and other competitions, it was serious business. Several winning times in Saturday’s radar run were clocked at over 100 miles per hour.

Saturday’s radar run results were as follows:

Stock Class:

0-570 — first place, Jamie Beaulieu, Polaris 83.1; second place, Johnny Trotto, Ski-Doo, 82.4; and third place, Chris Allen, Kawasaki Ltd, 71.3;

571-669 — first place, Gary Fletcher, Arctic Cat F6, 86.5; second place, Jenneke Lord, Ski-Doo Mxz, 82.7; third place, Jake Thomas, Ski-Doo Mxz, 81.0;

670-750 — first place, Jody Fletcher, Cat F7, 96.4; second place, David Fletcher, Cat Cross Z, 87.6; third place, Steven Zunino, Ski-Doo Formula Iii, 79.4;

751+ — first place, Frank Edmondson, Arctic Cat Zrt, 104.6; second place, Jody Fletcher, Cat F-7, 96.1; third place, Tom Walsh, T-Cat, 96.0;

Modified Trail Ridden

Vintage Class: 20 + Years — first place, Chris Allen, 1981 Kawaski Ltd, 71.4; second place, Glenn Pinkham, 1980 Kawaski Ltd, 69.0: third place, Skip Decker, 1975 Mercury, 68.6;

Junior Class: under age 10 — first place, Cody Mansfield, Arctic Cat 120, 28.0; second place, Bodin Washington, Yamaha, 23.5; third place, William Dowling, Polaris, 120 23.1;

Winner Of The Scott Hill Award (16 years or under for fastest sled) — Johnny Trotto, 14, Ski-Doo Xrs 800, 87.8.

Any contestant who left early and did not receive their award, should contact, the secretary of the Rangeley Lakes Snowmobile club, Sandi Dumont at ccsandi@myfairpoint.net by Jan. 31 to make some arrangement to pick up.

Jon Belliveau, of Dover, N.H., won the sled that was being raffled. Laurie Reed, of Haverhill, Mass., won the 50/50 Friday night drawing for $1,000, giving $500 back to the club.

Poker Run Results — first place Fern Langlois, $100; second place tie: Charlie Stubbs and Justine Lombardi, $62.50 each.
