MSAD #58 to create common vision

About 80 people are being sought to help fashion a vision for the school district

KINGFIELD — MSAD #58 is currently gathering approximately 80 people representing a broad crosssection of the district’s communities and surrounding communities who tuition their students to MSAD #58 to meet for a daylong event in March to create a common vision for the district’s future.

Municipal officials, business leaders, students, parents and school employees have been invited to participate in the event March 24 at the Kingfield Elementary School from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Food will be provided to participants. Additional members of the public who would like to be part of this process should email Andrea Adams (aadams@msad58.org) or call her at 639-2086 by Feb. 27 to let her know of your interest.

Judy Enright, an experienced moderator and former public school administrator, will lead the discussion using a process known as The World Café. Many other Maine communities have made major, positive changes using in their schools using this visioning process.

MSAD #58’s World Café will focus on this guiding question: “Considering all the possibilities available to our students and communities, how will our school system need to evolve to meet the present and future needs of our children?”

The MSAD #58 Board of Directors is looking for the public’s participation in this critically important process as it looks to create a common vision for the district.
