Numerous summonses served
WESTERN MOUNTAINS — Following is a summary of some of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department’s local activities Feb. 9 to 15. In all, dispatchers sent deputies to 108 incidents in the county during this period according to the radio logs.
Feb. 9 deputies served papers at High Street in New Vineyard, Main Street in Strong, Norton Hill Road also in Strong and Hunter Road in Strong. Deputies also investigated a case of threatening on Old Strong Road in New Vineyard.
Feb. 10 deputies investigated a vehicle fire on Dallas Hill Road in Dallas Plantation, dispatched a deer on Rumford Road in Rangeley, made an arrest on Main Street in Kingfield and served a summons on Salem Road in Kingfield.
Feb. 11 deputies served summonses on Route 27 and New Vineyard Road, both in New Vineyard. Deputies also investigated a case of burglary, assault and terrorizing on Farmington Road in Strong, investigated a domestic dispute on Brahmer Road in New Vineyard, an animal complaint on Route 4 in Strong and a motor vehicle accident on Farmington Road in Strong.
Feb. 12 deputies investigated a motor vehicle accident and performed a reconstruction on New Vineyard Road in New Vineyard, investigated a motor vehicle complaint on Main Street in Kingfield and a chimney fire on Avon Valley Road in Avon.
Feb. 13 deputies investigated a motor vehicle accident on Route 4 in Madrid, a case of illegal dumping on Route 4 in Phillips, assisted a citizen on Route 27 in Carrabassett Valley, investigated a motor vehicle accident on Route 142 in Freeman Township and provided paperwork service on Granite Lane in Eustis.
Feb. 14 deputies participated in a search on ITS Trail 89 in Rangeley, responded to smoke detectors sounding on West Freeman Road in Strong, served summonses on Route 27 in New Vineyard and Route 27 in Wyman Township, investigated an alarm sounding on Rumford Road in Rangeley and a traffic offense on Main Street in Kingfield.
Feb. 15 Deputies provided an agency assist on Freeman Ridge Road in Freeman Township, served a summons on Main Street in Kingfield and one on Route 4 in Phillips.
