Bible Adventure Days returns to CV

CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Sugarloaf Area Christian Ministry invites all area youth to join in for this year’s Bible Adventure Days —BAD for short. This three-day program is free and open to all youth entering kindergarten through high school. This year, preschoolers are also invited to join in for all or part of the program with a participating adult.

This program will be held Monday through Wednesday, June 18 to 20, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Dick Bell Chapel, Sugarloaf.

There will be a special BAD 2012 Teen Track for youth entering 6th to 12th grade under the direction of Earle Morse and company. Some of this year’s activities include hiking, swimming, canoeing on Flagstaff Lake, as well as morning devotions and the ever popular Go- Kart Motor Cross at the Jordan’s Track.

This year children entering kindergarten through 5th grade (6 graders too if they want) will be working together to produce a Theatrical Extravaganza, “Olympic Flame: The Musical.” Whether it’s constructing sets, making costumes, finding props, designing programs, acting, singing or dancing there’s something for everyone. “‘Behind the scenes’” or ‘under the lights,’ there’s a place for everyone to be a good sport and find out what it means to join God’s Team,” said Rev. Pam Morse. Participants should bring a lunch, two snacks a day and wear play clothes. The musical will be presented Wednesday 5 p.m. at the chapel. There will be a tailgate picnic out front right after the show; everyone is encouraged to bring a dish to share and a healthy appetite.

This year’s mission project will support the New Hope Women’s Shelter in Solon.

Pre-registration (by June 11) is not required but always helpful. Call Rev. Pam Morse at 237-2304 for information and registration. Also check out the website www.sugarloafministry.com. Or “like” them on Facebook.
