(Valerie Tucker photo) STRONG — Dirty Dawgs gathered for some tough competition at the Route 4 Raceway recently. About 300 fans and drivers came from New England to watch and compete in the six classes of competition.

Track owner Tim Ladd said the crowds like to watch “anything that will run.” This year, he will offer four types of challenges. “We’ll have the mud runs on another track that we’ve just built, and we’ll have the old-style side-by-side drag races, plus the circular track races,” he said.

Scheduled races include June 3 and 17; July 1, 15 and 29; August 12 and 26; and Sept. 9, 23 and 30. For more information, check out “RT 4 Race Track” on Facebook, call 491-6554 or email tladd1959@gmail.com.
