Moose Survival Study topic of RRG&SA monthly meeting

OQUOSSOC — Thursday, July 20, the Rangeley Region Guides’ & Sportsmen’s Association will hold its monthly membership meeting at the clubhouse on Old Skiway Road.

The potluck supper starts at 5:30 p.m. The business meeting this month will include election of officers and board members.

Lee Kantar, Maine’s moose biologist, will present the four-year findings of the ongoing Moose Survival Study. Kantar last visited RRG&SA four years ago, after the first 30 moose were fitted with GPS collars. At the present time, IFW is now following more than 100 collared moose. The information from this ongoing study should be of great interest to the RRG&SA membership. The public is always welcomed to attend these potluck suppers and educational programs.

More information on the RRG&SA can be found at www.rangeleyoutdoors.com.
