On the AT with Maine’s High Peaks

Doug Archer and Richard Fotter of Maine’s High Peaks represented the area at the Appalachian Trail Conservancy Conference, held at Colby College Aug. 4 to 11. The week long annual conference includes vendors, workshops and hiking expeditions all around the state. Kingfield and Rangeley are designated Appalachian Trail Communities, dedicated to promoting and protecting the trail. An annual celebration of the designation will be held in Kingfield Sept. 10 and in Rangeley Sept. 2. More information will be released as the events draw closer.
