Tech Guy at Valley library

CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Need help with your computer skills? Having trouble with your new phone or device? Carrabassett Valley Public Library announces that the Tech Guy will be there to help troubleshoot laptops, smart phones or tablets.

Learn easy steps secure your digital data and protect your privacy online. Create (and remember) better passwords, spot online scams, and protect your computers, phones, and refrigerators (yes!) from hackers. Think you don’t have anything to hide? Find out why you could be paying more than your neighbor for a product based on your browsing history.

Patrick Smith brings 30 years of experience to the table Thursday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon. Help will be available first-come, firstserved. You do not have to be a member of the library to participate but membership is free for everyone.

For more information, call Librarian Andrea DeBiase at 237-3535. The library is located near the Route 27 entrance to the Sugarloaf Access Road, opposite the Anti-Gravity Complex.
