Kingfield economic development speaker series continues

KINGFIELD — “What is Economic Development,” a four-part speaker series sponsored by the Kingfield Village Enhancement Committee, continues April 24 with Betty Gencel, Director and Business Advisor, Rim Counties, Coastal Enterprises Inc., and Kevin Smart, Business Advisor with Community Finance Corporation. It will be held in Webster Hall from 5 to 6 p.m.

The final event is Monday, May 28 with Kate Williamson, Rangeley Economic Opportunity Committee.

Topics discussed will include using capital to leverage capital, creative financing, public/private joint ventures, understanding the cost/benefit ratio and other matters germane to the complex and substantial subject of community economic development.
