New art gallery opens on Sugarloaf

CARRABASSETT VALLEY — Saturday, Dec. 18 the Patricia Buck Emporium will host an opening reception to celebrate new art work and the holiday season.

New to Sugarloaf this year the emporium is located in the village adjacent to Java Joes. The holiday art show features antique furniture, local handmade furniture and steam bent toboggans by Ian Reinholt, paintings and stained glass of the Western Maine Mountains by Saskia Reinholt, and Maine-made knit wear by Patricia Buck.

The opening reception will be hosted from 5 to 9 p.m. Complimentary beverages and light fare will be served.

“Our mission is to engage the community and visitors with arts and crafts unique to the Western Maine Mountains,” Ian Reinholt says.
