CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The reception for the Summer Local Artist Exhibit at the Carrabassett Valley Public Library & Community Center is being dedicated to Jamie Corriveau. The wine and cheese reception to celebrate the artists and remember Corriveau will be held Friday, Aug. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m.

A former Carrabassett Valley resident who was a talented photographer and friend of the library, Corriveau also offered a photography workshop to share his talent with the community. “A warm and adventurous soul, he will be missed by many,” a spokesperson for the event said. At 6 p.m. there will be an opportunity to share memories of Corriveau.

 

 

The following artists are displaying their talents here in the lobby gallery: Betsy Bass, Peggy Bishop, Joe Gambino, Danielle London, Katie Maloney, Joanne Noyes, John Orcutt, John Pease, Marguerite Robichaux, Lucia Swallow, Carol Tanner, Greg Thomas, Patty Thomas, Barry White and Waylon Wolfe.

The gallery is open for viewing Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
