Third man charged in arson

SANDY RIVER PLANTATION — A third man has been charged with an arson fire that destroyed a Caterpillar bulldozer in Sandy River Plantation.

Hunters discovered the burned out bulldozer in a swamp Tuesday, Nov. 14. Alexander Allan, 37, and Devon Clark, 18, both of Dallas Plantation were previously charged in the arson, which caused approximately $100,000 in damage.

Michael Stanley, 23, of Gardner, Mass. was arrested by the Gardner Police Department Wednesday, Nov. 22 with charges stemming from the arson. Stanley is a friend of the two previously charged men, according to Fire Marshals.

In a press release, Department of Public Safety Information Officer Stephen MacCausland stated Stanley is being held on a fugitive from justice charge and is awaiting extradition to Maine.
